I am writing an essay for my Spanish class and I want to define a word with a dictionary definition within the essay. What is considered a good, well-accepted dictionary in Spanish that I could cite a definition from?Good Spanish dictionary to cite in paper?
Yes, the official dictionay of the Spanish language is the "Diccionario de la Lengua Espa帽ola" of the "Real Academia Espa帽ola", something like Spanish Language Royal Academy, an old institution that tells what is good said in Spanish and what is not a good word, and its meaning.
It's not difficult for a Spaniard to have one of this dictionaries. It's not more expensive than any other good dictionary of Spanish. I've got one at home.
The dictionary of the newspaper El Mundo

is also good, but it's definitions come from the dictionary of the Real Academia Espa帽ola.Good Spanish dictionary to cite in paper?
Why not go to the very top? The Real Academia Espa帽ola is the regulatory board in charge of the Spanish language. On their website, they provide the definitions (in Spanish, mind you, but you could translate them if you wanted them in English for almost all Spanish words. http://www.rae.es/Good Spanish dictionary to cite in paper?
