Google Translate as a word for word Spanish dictionary, does it help with that?

I use a Spanish dictionary from about 1980, I'm assuming because the book uses, "Have you?" Instead of, "Do you have?" So I was wondering if I could use Google Translator for a Spanish dictionary, but not phrases, like most people think it is for.|||for translations word for word use wordreference.com. It's the one I use for my English translations nd I love it. You can use google but never for sentences or phrases because it doesn't do it right.|||Google Translate is not too bad as a word-for-word dictionary, on condition you just put in one word at the time and get the list of different meanings below, but Wiktionary ( http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Wiktionary鈥?/a> ) will give you more information. Check also with the Spanish Wiktionary ( http://es.wiktionary.org/wiki/Wikcionari鈥?/a> ) and the "Diccionario de la Lengua Espa帽ola" ( http://buscon.rae.es/draeI/ ) for even more extensive information.
